About
NHPD PAL has partnered with the New York Rangers to bring this free and amazing opportunity to the kids in our community. New Haven Residents or anyone that attends a New Haven Public School, ages 5-12, will have the opportunity to learn to skate along with learning the game of Hockey!
Everyone will have a blast
Kids will learn about the rules of the game, the different positions on the ice, and the skills needed to play hockey.
Benefits of hockey
It’s a great way to get exercise.
It helps develop coordination and balance.
It teaches teamwork and sportsmanship.
It’s a lot of fun!
Hockey can also help kids develop their self-esteem and confidence. When they learn new skills and score goals, they’ll feel good about themselves. They’ll also learn how to deal with challenges and setbacks, which are important skills for life.
